Last weekend’s Go Machine billed some of the biggest names in local urban music starting off with GMK, Grynch, Fresh Espresso and Champagne Champagne. The latter two names showcased the electronica driven party-rap that Seattle music fans have been drawn towards en masse. Fresh Espresso unleashed a cavalcade of hits of their freshman release Glamour into the packed Crocodile Cafe, energizing the crowd with their impeccable showmanship. Musical abilities were not neglected either as P-Smoov took to his roland synth to vocode the hook to Laser Beams and Head Like a Kite drummer Trent Moorman pounded out amazing party beats. Champagne Champagne closed the night with antics that would have put the rest of Mad Rad to shame if Buffalo Madonna himself wasn’t their to somehow bloody himself from thrashing around the crowd and stage. Again indie artists of the world united as Fences’ Christopher Mansfield took the stage to lend some rocker edge to the already visceral beats laid down by DJ Gajamagic on everything from guitar to drums, even a melodica… Check the pics!
